About John Waldman: John is a tenured biology professor at Queens College in New York. Before joining the faculty in 2004, he worked for the Hudson River Foundation for Science and Environmental Research, most recently as Senior Scientist. He received a Ph.D from the Joint Program in Evolutionary Biology between the American Museum of Natural History and the City University of New York, and prior to that an M.S. in Marine and Environmental Sciences from Long Island University.
As an aquatic conservation biologist, he’s authored more than 90 scientific articles and several popular books, including Running Silver: Restoring Atlantic Rivers and Their Great Fish Migrations.
