Sandy Reynolds of Madrid, Maine is our newest My Maine This Week photographer. Welcome, Sandy!
Sandy shares with us her beautiful photos from her home in Western Maine. The first photo is of Blue, her rescue dog. Many Mainers will remember Blue’s story, which we are thrilled to say has a happy ending. Blue was found 3 years ago in the mountains of Maine, abused and abandoned. He suffered severe injuries from having his muzzle taped shut. He was rescued and adopted and spends his days enjoying life, exploring the outdoors and traveling around Maine spreading the word about adoption and raising awareness of animal cruelty. Follow his new life on Instagram @mainebluedog.

Blue enjoys every season Maine has to offer and winter is no exception. A sunset taken from our deck in western Maine.

This photo was taken from our front yard. The sunrise on Saddleback Mountain painted the snow a beautiful pink. The Appalachian Trail runs along Saddleback Mountain and hikers will soon be enjoying the Maine woods.
