“Here is a shot of the Milky Way taken at Daicey Pond in Baxter State Park two weeks ago. We were staying in the cabin in the photo and the conditions were right with a clear sky and no moon. The low light pollution in Maine and Baxter in particular make photographing the Milky Way possible. Two-thirds of the United States population are unable to see the Milky Way Galaxy due to light pollution.” – Photo by NRCM member Bill Brooke of Whitefield, Maine
