This week’s featured photographer, NRCM member Laura Pope of Eliot, Maine, writes:
“Last Wednesday, the weather was so fine…cool and with little humidity. It was Wednesday and we said, let’s go.
“We started with a walk on the heavenly Rachel Carson Trail in Wells…a woodland that meets up with the Little River on its way to the marsh and then the sea. They have wonderful look-outs on a well-tended trail. We loved the ‘cathedral of trees’ and also the views of the river and marsh.
“Fully recharged, we went to Parsons Beach, where the Mousam River empties into the Atlantic. What a sight. The beach was deserted but the terns were fishing as the tide was changing on the river.
“What a day!”
