These two photos are from Augusta, Maine, our state capital. Both were taken in February of this year — one on February 17 when there was a large ice jam in the Kennebec River. The photo was taken with a view of the river and downtown Augusta. The second photo was taken a couple of days later, at Viles Arboretum in Augusta. Both photos are by NRCM member Jayne Winters of South China, Maine.
