We are excited to share these incredible Great Blue Heron photos, taken by longtime My Maine This Week photographer and NRCM member David Small of Old Town, Maine.
David writes, “One of my friends, while undertaking his morning exercise, has noticed Great Blue Herons at various locations. He observed that they are skittish, difficult to see up close. So, he asked me if I had any photos of them that I could share…Well, here are some of a few hundred from my inventory. The one eating an American eel won first place in a Down East magazine contest.
