NRCM member and frequent My Maine This Week photographer David Preston of China Village, Maine, shares three beautiful photos he took on Saturday while hiking in western Maine. What are your favorite late fall hikes?
David writes, “Despite the foggy weather, a friend and I had a great hike up Bald and Speckled Mountains near West Peru today. Only an hour’s drive from Augusta, the trail passes a lovely mountain pond before climbing steeply. The fog cleared as we got near the top. The first picture is looking back at the two peaks above Shagg Pond.”
