This week’s My Maine This Week feature comes to us from NRCM member John DeWitt of Isle au Haut. He writes, “Here is a photo, taken with telephoto lens, of a Barred Owl I took recently on Isle au Haut where I live. I had seen this owl recently a few times on my daily walk, but it would disappear into the woods completely or land in a spot where it was mostly hidden. The last time I saw it, it decided to let me take its picture as it sat on a snowy branch of a maple tree. It watched me walk off but was gone when I walked back by on my way home.”
