To get your discount, please contact us at nrcm@nrcm.org before your vacation. We will then send you your discount voucher, which you will need to present upon arrival at the sporting camp or when meeting your Maine wilderness guide.
The Natural Resources Council of Maine partners with Maine’s sporting camps and guide services to offer discounted rates to our members. These discounts allow our members to enjoy some of Maine’s best traditional camp experiences throughout Maine’s North Woods and along stunning waterways. Fishing, hunting, paddling, wildlife watching, and photographing the nature of Maine are just some of the many activities to enjoy while visiting these camps or using the guide services.

The Birches Resort was built in the 1930s as a hunting and fishing lodge. It’s located on beautiful Moosehead Lake in Rockwood, Maine, on a privately owned, 11,000-acre nature preserve at the heart of Maine’s Great North Woods, the last remaining wilderness in New England. This family-owned and operated resort offers canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and mountain biking each summer. Chandler Lake Camps and Lodge is one of the oldest traditional Maine sporting camps in the Aroostook and Allagash watersheds. Their heritage stems from the nineteenth century and has become a tradition to many sportsmen looking for a quality fishing and hunting experience. They are a traditional Maine sporting camp, updated with a few modern conveniences, with first-rate fishing and hunting resources. Step back in time and explore the beauty of the north Maine woods. Chandler Lake Camps has 10 cabins that have been developed into a more modern facility without sacrificing any of their rustic charm. To maintain a quality wilderness feel, they limit our camps to 12 guests or a total of only 3 parties per week.

The Red River Camps are situated on Island Pond in the Deboullie Township, right in the heart of Maine’s North Woods. The camps offer three housekeeping cabins (including one on a private island) and six “American plan” cabins. Their housekeeping cabins are equipped with private kitchens, while their American plan guests take their meals in the main lodge. All of the cabins include private baths.
