From the eastern shore of Round Pond you can access the trailhead to Round Pond Mountain, which is home to an observation tower with spectacular views of the river and surrounding forest. The unit is also a popular hunting area in the fall.
Activities: Camping, fishing, hiking, and hunting. You can find a description of the Round Pond Mountain Trail at Maine Trail Finder.
