Olivia Ruhlin

Olivia leads NRCM’s efforts to develop and build lasting relationships with people in and around Franklin County, with an emphasis on values-based outreach and leadership development to deepen NRCM’s engagement with people, organizations, businesses, elected officials, and community leaders in the region. Olivia received her Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Maine, Orono, with a minor in Spanish. Olivia has spent much of her professional life advocating on behalf of marginalized populations, working for various nonprofits dedicated to serving survivors of domestic violence as well as youth experiencing homelessness. She is experienced in community organizing and helped to coordinate volunteer aid in rural Western Maine communities during the Covid-19 pandemic. She is a life-long Mainer having grown up in Cornish and now residing in Farmington. She has also spent time post-college living and working in different parts of New Hampshire.

Favorite thing to do outdoors in Maine: Swimming and running outdoors in the summer, hiking in the fall, and skiing in the winter!
