Mareisa Weil, Leadership Gifts Officer
Building relationships within Maine’s philanthropic community is Mareisa’s primary focus in her role as NRCM’s leadership giving fundraiser. Her stewardship takes her around the state and beyond. Mareisa was born and raised in southwest Vermont, where she grew up exploring the Green Mountain National Forest, swimming in rivers and lakes, bike riding, and snowboarding. She finished her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, graduating from their Communication program with honors. After a decade in California, she and her partner moved back East to his home state of Maine to be closer to family. Prior to joining NRCM, Mareisa worked at the Maine Hospice Council and Center for End-of-Life Care, at Colby College, and at Maine Family Planning. In 2021, she completed a Master’s in Policy, Planning, and Management at the Muskie School for Public Service at the University of Southern Maine. Mareisa lives in Freedom with her partner and twin sons.
