Frequent My Maine This Week photographer and longtime NRCM member Linda Woods of Waterville, Maine, shares photos from a recent hike she did in western Maine.
Linda writes, “We had perfect conditions for our hike up Little Jackson (3,454 feet) in late August. Surprisingly there was no wind on top, so we didn’t need the windbreak to enjoy our lunch. Although Maine Trail Finder calls this an advanced hike, I can still do it (albeit slowly at age 73). We logged about eight miles on this up-and-back hike that took us six hours. This area is preserved using funds from the Land for Maine’s Future program.”
