Offering opportunities for a whole host of activities across all four seasons—hiking, snowshoeing, hunting, horseback riding, among other things—this trail runs 16 miles through northern Maine. It runs from South Lagrange through Medford Center to the beautiful Lake View Plantation, running alongside and through the tiny towns of Lagrange and Medford, respectively. The trail is multi-use; nonmotorized users have the right of way, and please be courteous to all trail users and nearby landowners.
The trail runs north through heavily wooded areas for several miles with an occasional glimpse of a house before passing just East of Lagrange. The trail offers waterfowl and beaver sightings and runs through forests and farmland.

South End Trailhead: For the South End Trailhead in Lagrange, take Exit 199 on I-95 and turn left onto ME-16. Drive 10 miles and then turn left onto South Lagrange Road. Go another 400 feet and turn left toward the switching station. There is parking 400 feet after the turn, by the trailhead.
Railroad Road Trailhead: The Railroad Road Trailhead in Lagrange is 0.4 miles up from the South End Trailhead, with a parking lot just off the road. Take Exit 199 on I-95 toward Lagrange and turn left on ME-16. Drive 10.4 miles and then turn left onto Railroad Road. Trailhead parking will be 450 feet ahead after the turn.
Medford Center: From I-95, take Exit 217 onto ME-6/ME-155 toward Lagrange. Head West on ME-6/ME-155 toward Lagrange for 0.4 miles, then turn right onto River Road/Maxfield Road. Drive 9.7 miles (River Road will become Medford Center Road). Then turn right onto Trestle Road in Medford Center. There is parking 0.1 miles down the road at the trail crossing near the Town Office.
