Acquired in 2019, Robinson Pond South provides a connection to Robinson Woods, a 145-acre preserve owned by Cape Elizabeth Land Trust. The area contains gorgeous wetlands, fields, stone walls, forests, and a beautiful stream. It provides new recreation access from nearby neighborhoods. This latest acquisition makes Robinson Woods the largest contiguous preserve in Cape Elizabeth.
A 1.4-mile loop trail can be found on the northern edge of the preserve. The trail is flat and well-marked. Additionally, the rocky terrain around this trail protects it from being developed into farmland. There is limited parking at the trailhead.
