This week’s My Maine This Week features photos of Madawaska Lake in Aroostook County. NRCM supporter Brenda Ketch of Stockholm, Maine, shares her beautiful sunset and dusk photos from the lake that she loves.
Brenda writes, “I live on Madawaska Lake. One can take walks around the lake, since we have a main road by the lake and a North and South shore to walk as well. There is a public boat launch area here, for those who like to fish, or just do some boating. Also, there is access to ATV trails nearby, and in the wintertime, locals maintain a ski trail on a nearby power line. Each February there is ice fishing on the lake. There is also access to snowmobile trails from the lake. Also there are rental cabins and an area for campers to park their trailers. Food and gas are available at a grocery store in Stockholm, and there is a restaurant there. Stockholm is about three-and-a-half miles from the lake. That is some of what Madawaska Lake has to offer.”
That sounds good to us!
