“As I have been trying to get outside while also practicing social distancing, my usual places along the Maine coast are closed or were originally too crowded for me to feel comfortable. So, one recent afternoon, my husband and I took a ride down to Georgetown and passed a spot that we drive by quite often in the summer, on our way to eat lobster at Five Islands Lobster Company.
This day, something caught our eye so we stopped at a little dirt parking lot and were treated to a Bald Eagle in the tree overhead, as well as a harbor seal swimming by. And then, I heard the loudest honking and walked to the other side of the point to see several Canada Geese swimming around. I just started snapping photos and was delighted to capture the movement of this one goose in particular,” writes NRCM Communications Manager Beth Comeau of Richmond, Maine.
