May 28, 2019 (Augusta, ME) – The Natural Resources Council of Maine released the following statement from Clean Energy Director Dylan Voorhees on Governor Mills’ nomination of Phil Bartlett as Chair of the Public Utilities Commission (PUC):
“Phil Bartlett will provide the leadership on clean energy and energy efficiency that the PUC so desperately needs. Phil’s years of experience working to advance a transition to a clean energy economy gives him a great understanding of what Mainers need and what Maine needs to do to become more energy independent. We are hopeful that under his leadership, the PUC will now begin to act on behalf of Maine people by providing better support for the innovations and common-sense solutions that help residents save money and invest in clean energy.”
