Explore and Celebrate Maine's Great Trails
Each year, we pull together Explore Maine, suggesting ways for you to do just that: explore our great state. This year, the focus is on Maine trails since the Legislature passed the Maine Trails Bond. Find staff picks and trail recommendations by local land trust staff and others—see inside! Explore Maine also features staff reviews of books by our supporters, NRCM gear, and discounts on Maine outdoor experiences. See you outside!

To celebrate passage of Maine’s first-ever trails bond this year, NRCM staff, members, supporters, and trails bond partners share their picks of great trails around the state for you to add to your "must-visit" list for this summer, fall, and winter!
Time to start putting together your late summer reading list, and NRCM members can help. Find great books for you and your whole family, written by NRCM members. This year's books include fiction, children's books, art books, and nonfiction. There's something for everyone!
Enock Glidden is a Maine-based disabled athlete, adventurer, motivational speaker, and advocate for others with disabilities. Enock continues to be involved in the Maine Trails Bond, in order to ensure that trails are more accessible to everyone. “I hope it goes a long way to opening up access for future generations,” he says.

We have shared crossword puzzles, word searches, Find the Differences pictures, and other fun activities in past Explore Maine newsletters, and this year, we have a fun summer word jumble for you to do! If you get stuck, email us for the answers at nrcm@nrcm.org. If you complete the puzzle, take a photo or email it to us at that same address for your chance to win an NRCM tote!

Maine Sporting Camp & Outdoor Recreation Partner Discounts for NRCM Members
There’s nothing better than spending time in the woods or on a lake or pond this time of year. Many Maine sporting camps & guide services, and a rowing company in Belfast, offer great discounts to NRCM members as a way to promote their business while providing us an opportunity to thank our members for supporting our work.
