Clean Water is In Style!
April is Aveda Earth Month, and in 2024 we will once again team with Maine salons and the Aveda Institute to spread the word about the importance of protecting Maine’s clean, beautiful waters. We encourage you to visit a participating Aveda location throughout the month of April to support their various fundraisers!
Celebrate Aveda Earth Month
Support Our Work Protecting Maine’s Clean, Beautiful Waters
Throughout April — Earth Month — Aveda salons in Maine promote NRCM's work protecting Maine's lakes, rivers, streams, and coastal waters. In past years, participating Aveda salons have hosted clean-ups of local riverfronts, beaches, parks, and other public areas to raise awareness and funds in support of NRCM's work for clean water. They have also held raffles, done "round up for charity" events, hosted cut-a-thons, an annual "Trashion Show," and more. All funds raised from events are donated to NRCM in support of our work for clean water.
Your support stays here in Maine and helps protect Maine's clean waters by:
- Reducing plastics and other trash that ends up in our lakes, rivers, and ocean.
- Defending against polluters that try to weaken safeguards for Maine’s clean waters.
- Stopping food waste that requires trillions of gallons of water.
- Restoring Maine’s waterways and boost our ocean fisheries by removing obsolete dams from Maine’s great rivers
