Protecting What We Love: A Celebration of Action for Maine’s Environment

Wednesday, September 25 from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Freeport

Come join the Natural Resources Council of Maine (NRCM) at Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture & the Environment in Freeport for an evening of inspiring talks, engaging workshops, and hands-on activities all focused on protecting our beautiful Maine environment. This event is your chance to connect with like-minded individuals, learn about local conservation efforts, and take action to safeguard what we cherish.

In addition to celebrating our collective action, we’ll present our Conservation Leadership Awards to celebrate a few individuals who have done extraordinary work in their communities. Let’s come together to celebrate and preserve the natural beauty of Maine!

Woodchuck

It’s the largest member of the squirrel family, specifically ground squirrels, known as marmots. Be sure to check out the "cool fact" about other fun names for this animal in our newest Creature Feature.
